DIY - Mini Pie Favors

This past week, 2 of my DIY projects have been featured on Wedding 101 from our DIY Picnic Wedding Style Shoot.

First up...

DIY Mini Pie Favors! These are so cute and really easy to make :>)

Mini Pie Favors:

*This project was Inspired by these adorable pies but I tweaked ours just a little bit!
Supplies:
Empty small mason jars with lids
Bright fabric of your choice
Twine
DIY painted mini forks (see below)
Thank you tags
Pillsbury pie crust in the tube (Find in the refrigerated aisle)
Pie filling (we used apple and cherry from the can)
PIES:
1.)  Pre-heat oven to 425 degrees.  Line bottom and sides of mason jar with pie crust (1 can of crust makes about 8 pies).
2.)  Fill jar with pie filling, leave a little room at the top for bubbling.
3.)  Layer a piece of dough on top of filling, but be sure to score a few spots to let steam out.
4.)  Leave jar uncovered.  Place pies on cookie sheet and bake for 18-22 minutes, until golden brown.
5.)  When pies are done, secure lid on each pie.
DECORATE THE JAR:
1.) Cut fabric into circles 2 inches wider than top of lid.
2.) Once pies are cooled, screw on lid with fabric lying over the flat piece.
3.) Using a hole punch, cut a hole in the corner of thank you tag and string through a piece of twine.
3.) Tie around lid of mason jar and attach mini wood forks to twine.
Painted Mini Forks
Supplies:
Mini forks from
Fort & Field purchase them here.
Paint in wedding colors
Paintbrush.
