Life Update and "A Story Of Us" Style Shoot

It's been completely crazy in my life for the past few months.  We sold our house, packed it up and moved to Denver in about 2 and a half weeks, from listing to leaving.  We still don't know where our final destination will be yet - we are hoping to hear at the end of June.  But Denver is where I'm calling home base until then!  I'm having such a great time getting to see my family every day - I haven't lived near them in ten years!  I'm learning how to garden (my mom and dad have a beautiful yard with lovely flowers and a vegetable garden), and my dad is teaching me how to drive a stick shift car - which Billy is loving because it means we have a better chance of winning The Amazing Race.

Anyway!  A few weeks back one of our Style Shoots was published on the fabulous wedding blog Borrowed and Bleu.  See the original post here.  This shoot was called "A Story Of Us" and was based around a beautiful storybook invitation by Designs In Paper.

From the old King’s Chapel (named for the King of England whom the congregation was loyal to when the chapel was first built in the late 1700s), to the iron lanterns that have been collected over time… This wedding needs no fuss – it can be a simple setting: picnic tables adorned with vintage lace linens and set with different rosebud plates, colorful wine goblets and water glasses found at antique stores and flea markets, and a bride who goes barefoot. The moss wreaths dressing the chapel doors are draped with long pieces of vintage lace fabric, and they were a DIY project done by our florist! Our favorite moment of the shoot was when the owner of King’s Chapel brought over her two gorgeous white horses to graze in the background. A fairytale indeed!
