It's week 3 of the photography challenge! And what, do you ask, is the target this week? Oh, you didn't ask? Well, no worries, I'll tell you anyway :>)
BOLD Colors.
(I imagine you reading that out loud in a big, shaky, vibrato-y voice...BOOOLLLLDDDD Colors!)
That's bold, baby.
This is Ms. Beehive. She lived at Retropolitan for quite awhile, until someone scooped her up and took her home. I miss her.
I do miss her, but actually, this is a painting from Retropolitan (the interior design store I work for) by the amazing and talented Scott Moore. He painted an entire bee collection for the store this spring, and Ms. Beehive was my favorite. I love her vibrant red hair, the piercing blue sky, thick black lashes, ruby lips, and yellow honeybees keeping her company.
I didn't need to fake any light for this shot - the store gets amazing natural light during the day. So I popped my camera to A (auto) and shot away. A few more pics of the store:
I do love Greek Key :>) Link up to the photography party!!! It's fun.
